From 2016 until April 2018 he worked as a Berlin-based publicist, political commentator and author with a focus on EU-politics, populism and political extremism. From 2004 until 2014 he worked as senior-consultant and management adviser for both the Dutch and German labour parties PvdA and SPD. In 2013 he developed the nationwide grassroots campaign, die SPD von Tür-zu-Tür, for the German national elections. In 2016 Job graduated with distinction at the post-academic master program in European Studies at the three Berlin universities (HU/FU/TU) and the German foreign ministry. In his thesis he tested the succes of Wilders' Freedom Party in shaping the attitude and position of the Dutch government on European issues.
His work in eight election campaigns in two countries and the post-academic research give him unique insights in the mechanics of party politics and their response to rising populism in Europe.
